While the social and financial impacts of the housing disaster are properly documented, its many psychological, affective, relational, and existential impacts typically stay within the blind spot of present analysis. The undertaking Réverberations d’une crise: a sound inquiry on housing in Montreal postulates that listening to sound could make uncared for dimensions of this difficulty perceptible. A sound inquiry implies utilizing the medium of sound to raised perceive and act on this social and political difficulty. Through periods of listening, recording, dialogue and workout routines, a collective of tenants produced a means of inquiry and composition that might be shared in three completely different types :

Reverberations d’une crise / Sounding the housing disaster
The podcast Réverbérations d’une crise: Sounding the Housing Crisis brings collectively a collection of compositions, on the border of audio documentary and radio artwork, articulating the extra experimental facets with evaluation and discursive contributions (interviews, presentation of the method underlying the undertaking, and so on.). This is the place the extra reflexive and analytical dimension of the undertaking is unfolded. Some episodes might be broadcasted on CKUT 90.3 FM.
I co-produced the podcast with Hubert Gendron-Blais, organizing and enhancing the contributions from every member of the collective into an eight episode collection. The undertaking was partially impressed by the “militant sound inquiry” of Ultra-Red. In 2021, Ultra-Red co-founder Dont Rhine visited Montreal for a seminar at McGill, adopted by a workshop/efficiency as a part of Echoes of a Distance, Music, Protest and Community in Confined Times, organized by Hubert and The International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation (IICSI).
